The typical offer for this course is a 2:2 or higher in an honours degree in a relevant discipline. We also accept equivalent qualifications.
If you do not have an honours degree, you’ll need to show evidence that you know enough about the relevant subjects to understand the course materials. Deepen your understanding of the financial world.
Studying this MSc in Accounting and Finance will equip you for a successful career in a wide range of sectors and organisations. During the course, you’ll learn from research-active staff, get to grips with cutting-edge knowledge and study modules that align with professional bodies.
You’ll explore the latest developments in the accounting and finance sector and work on real-life cases and financial data platforms such as Bloomberg and Thomson DataStream Advance.
You’ll build knowledge of fundamental accounting areas, including reporting, management accounting, corporate finance and financial modelling.
This course is accredited by the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) and offers exemptions from its professional exams. The programme also has accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) which will grant you accelerated entry to the CIMA Masters Gateway when you graduate.
On completion of this masters, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for exemptions from Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exams.
Fees and funding
The International Success Support Scholarship provides £2,500 towards tuition fees for international students starting in September 2026 on an eligible course. Postgraduate students receive the award in their first year and this award supports international students to succeed at Kingston University.
We also offer small number of International Merit-Based Scholarships worth £5,000 towards first-year tuition fees.
