The university is a short bus ride away from tube connections at Putney Bridge (District), so exploring London is easy.

What is student life like?
Joining Roehampton is not just about joining the university, it’s also about being a member of the university. Students join one of the four Colleges and benefit from a packed social schedule and dedicated support.
Roehampton’s Student Union is dedicated to enhancing the student experience, ensuring that students have access to the support they need, at any moment. They provide lots of opportunities to meet new people, through societies and volunteering.
With central London reachable in around 36 minutes, students can access cultural, professional and networking opportunities across the capital. Close by are the neighbourhoods of Putney, Wimbledon and Kingston, with endless bars, shops, restaurants and cinemas.
I chose Forensic Psychology at Roehampton because I’d heard great things about the course from a friend, and I already knew and respected the lecturers from my undergrad. The modules here were really aligned with my interests, and the more humanistic approach compared to other unis was something I preferred.

What facilities does Roehampton have?
As a campus university, Roehampton brings academic, social, support and career services together in one location.
Their world-class library is home to thousands of books including archive and special collections. Students will learn in teaching spaces, computer rooms and lecture theatres, and for some courses study in more specialised facilities, ensuring hands-on practical skills.
On Roehampton’s campus is a range of bars, social spaces and catering outlets, including the Hive Café, which is run by Roehampton’s Students’ Union. There are college kitchens which provide lockers, comfortable seating, fridges and microwaves. There is also free parking and secure bike storage.
Sports facilities include a sports hall, multi-use games area and Gym Roehampton, which also has two studios. Roehampton also offers multi-faith chaplaincies.
Roehampton offers affordable on-campus rooms. Students can live with other postgraduate students too. Included in the accommodation fee is WiFi, contents insurance, utility bills and laundry. There is 24/7 security and on-site campus wardens and flat reps offering support.

Roehampton puts you at the centre of its teaching and career development is embedded into every programme.
Some courses offer a Professional Experience Year. Undertaking a year of professional training will help students gain career experience and help provide a distinct path to build your expertise.
Students have access to career advisors, where they can gain career guidance and help with writing applications. Workshops will also help boost employability skills with sessions on CV writing, interview techniques and career strategy.
Roehampton’s career development weeks give students the chance to network with top employers such as HSBC and Vodafone. Throughout the week, there are job fairs, alumni talks and opportunities to engage with employers to gain career insights.
Roehampton’s LaunchPad competition allows students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and make the most of networking opportunities and start-up resources to fuel business ideas.

How do you apply?

Most courses start in September, but Roehampton offers master’s degrees with January, March, April, May and July start dates. Flexible start dates allow students to start at a time that works around them.
