Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences delivers world class research and are one of the best in the country for innovative teaching and research excellence in health.

We offer a supportive culture, excellent facilities and close relationships with the NHS and other research partners.

We prioritise employability in our Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. Nearly all of our graduates find graduate level jobs or pursue further study within 15 months after completing their course.

Student Life

UEA students are part of a thriving community located in one of the best places to live in the UK. Based in Norwich, a historically rich city with a thriving contemporary scene, there is an array of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and bars. Not only this, but UEA runs more than 200 clubs and societies for students to take part in, whether that be netball, magic or maths, there are plenty of opportunities to try new things and meet like-minded people. Our students also have access to the Sportspark, with an array of top-class facilities such as a gym, indoor climbing wall, athletics track, indoor and outdoor courts, swimming pool and more.

Student Support

Student support services at the University of East Anglia include an extensive range of services which are in place to assist students in settling in comfortably to their studies, as well as achieving their full potential.

In addition to this, UEA also offers support with university fees via scholarships and bursaries. These awards are available for both domestic and international students and offer a way for motivated and hard-working students to offset their cost of study through their university work. The needs-based awards ensure that students from insecure economic backgrounds have the support and resources needed to focus on their studies.
