Job description

The Medux UK Finance Graduate programme is a three-year development programme designed for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a background in business, economics, computer science, mathematics, or finance.

During the programme, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure to financial activities within the organisation and develop practical experience in areas such as financial control, analysis, reporting, and business support. The role involves working closely with finance colleagues and other departments to support data-driven decision-making and improve financial processes.

As part of the programme, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain international exposure through a placement of up to two months with our parent company Medux International in Utrecht, the Netherlands in the second year of the programme, allowing them to experience a different business environment within the organisation.

Programme Structure

The formal programme runs for three years and focuses on developing a broad foundation in finance within the organisation.

Key elements include:

  • Practical experience in different areas of finance through formal rotations across key finance disciplines such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Commercial Finance, and Financial Control.
  • Participation in projects aimed at improving financial insights and processes.
  • Collaboration with finance colleagues and business stakeholders.
  • A placement abroad during the program, providing additional exposure to the organisation’s international activities.
  • Structured learning modules including finance qualification support, on the job training, and regular sessions with senior finance leaders across the Medux Group.

What you’ll learn from the programme

Financial Control

  • Support month-end processes and the accuracy of financial information in the business.
  • Assist with the day-to-day requirements of the operational finance function.
  • Help document and standardise financial processes to strengthen internal controls.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and performance analysis.
  • Analyse financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Contribute to management reporting and performance monitoring.
  • Support automation initiatives using tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or other analytics platforms.

Commercial Finance

  • Conduct financial and operational analysis to support business decisions.
  • Investigate financial variances and help identify underlying drivers.
  • Support projects related to cost optimisation and operational improvements.
  • Support managers by providing financial insights and data analysis.

  • Ability to work in a collaborative and professional environment, both as an individual and in a team.
  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-changing environment
  • Able to balance attention to detail with a broader commercial perspective

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience

  • Recent graduate or 0–3 years of relevant experience, such as internships or junior roles in finance, consulting, or analytics.
